At Victoria’s Secret & Co., we invest in our associates and their development because we are committed to their continued happiness and success in their careers and in their lives.
We are reevaluating and rebuilding our entire talent lifecycle from hiring to training and development to succession planning. We are establishing new talent pipelines to ensure we can find the best talent for critical and hard-to-fill roles while ensuring we remove bias from our hiring process to create equitable opportunities to hire diverse talent.
We are committed to retaining the associates already in our business through talent planning and development programs, including tailored leadership development initiatives to ensure our associates acquire the skills and behaviors that lead to long-term career progression and success. Through accelerated development programs, we are investing in diverse talent and their succession into leadership positions.
All of this work is being done on the foundation of our values. We are holding ourselves accountable at every stage of the talent lifecycle for ensuring we hire, retain and coach associates and leaders to be the standard-bearers of our happy, healthy and inclusive culture.
Performance Review Process
We are revamping our annual performance management process to include at least quarterly connection points for all associates, fair and consistent criteria and new processes to support even more timely and effective feedback and connections that drive high performance.
Associates are encouraged to work with their manager and HR partner to create an individual development plan that helps them expand and enhance their knowledge, skills and abilities.
Associate Opinion Survey
Our annual associate opinion survey enables us to gather anonymous feedback about key factors related to engagement and associate interactions with leaders and other team members. With results in hand, leaders take actionable steps to make their teams and our company better through their behavior and leadership.
We’re proud to say that in 2022, 87% of our associates who took our annual Associate Opinion Survey in 2022 (86% of associate base) rated as feeling proud to work for the company..
Volunteerism and Giving Back
Associates are provided with many fun and engaging opportunities to give back to the communities where we live and work. Giving opportunities include Associates for Associates, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Pelotonia and more. In addition, associates volunteer thousands of hours of their time to help non-profit organizations in our home office communities through a variety of volunteer activities throughout the year.
